The respondent is a 30-year-old man from Morocco, he was travelling with a transit group of 2 other men that he reports to be around his age. He reports being pushed back from Bosnia to Montenegro on 24 April 2024.
The respondent reports being apprehended in Bileća at about 7am on the morning of 24th April 2024. He reports there were four men in police uniforms that he identifies as the same that the Bosnian policemen wear, he recognized that they were talking to each other in Bosnian. They arrived in two police cars and chased the group on foot. The respondent reports he was grabbed and all three men were driven somewhere between Bileća (BiH) and the village of Vračenovići (Montenegro). They were left on the side of the road. The respondent also described this road was in the middle of the forest.
The group then waited a short amount of time before reattempting to cross the border. The respondent reports that he was apprehended again in Bileća, at approximately 9am on the same day, by one of the same police officers as that morning. This time the police officer took his phone and broke it so that it could not be used. The respondent recounted asking for water and this was denied. He was then driven back to the road between Bileća and Vračenovići and left at approximately the same location.
