On the 29th of March, a group of 135 male persons with Afghan and Pakistani nationalities crossed the border between Bosnia and Croatia close to Bihac (Bosnia). Among the group were around 40 minors, aged 16 and 17 years. The oldest person in the group was around 50 years old.

During their journey, the group saw officers that apprehended parts of the group in three different locations in Croatia. In the end, the group had reduced to 15 people.

First time when we start the game, we were 135 People. And three times the police came and cached 120 people. Three times we were running and we succeeded.“

On the 8th of April, the remaining group of 15 people was apprehended by seven officers. According to the respondent, the officers wore black uniforms and ski masks. This description matches with the uniforms worn by the Croatian intervention police.

“Black colored clothes, we see only eyes.”

The respondent identified three police vehicles and the transit group was put into one of them. The vehicle then drove for around five hours until it reached the border between Croatia and Bosnia, close to Velika Klaudsa. During their ride, the group had no access to water and the men described how the level of oxygen in the back of the car was getting low.

„It was a little car. No oxygen, no water.“

Around midnight, the vehicle reached the border. There the officers struck the people in the group with black batons and forced them to lay down on the ground for about 40 minutes. Next, the respondent reported that the officers confiscated all the belongings of the people and brought them over the border into Bosnia.

„The Croatian police beated and 40 minutes lay down. And the Croatian police took everything, like money, mobile, shoes and beat one by one. After this deport in Kladusa.“
