Two men from Afghanistan (one minor, 17 years old) were caught by Croatian police near Zagreb. Coming from the Serbo-Croatian border they came out of a truck and started to walk on a road towards Zagreb. The Police cought them at about 55km. from Zagreb, at 2.30pm. They brought them to a police station about 2 km from Zagreb. The interviewee could not specify the precise location of where they were caught, nor the location of police station to which they were taken.

At the police station the police officers took their personal information,  and prepared papers that were not given to them. Afterwards they took a picture of both of them. One mobile phone was taken away and not given back.

They requested asylum adding that that they didn’t want to go back to Serbia, but the police didn’t want to accept their request. They were kept in a police station for two hours, until they were taken by police car to the border crossing Bajakovo – Batrovci and were pushed back to Serbia.
