The respondent is a 24 year old Syrian man who attempted to enter Hungary close to the Horgos Border. 5 men apprehended him, one of them carrying a firearm. The respondent describes being hit in his head and in his legs by the man carrying the firearm.  The respondent also describes that the same man used his firearm to smash the screen of his mobile phone (pictured below). He was told to lie on the ground and the officers reportedly pushed him into the ground with their feet. As a result, of this episode, he sprained his ankle a result (pictured).

During this interaction, the respondent describes that there was an attempt to take money from him, but the man put his money inside his mouth so they couldn’t take it from him.

The respondent stated that there was one female officer among the group,  who slapped and laughed and took photos of him. After the interaction, he was taken in the car to a police station where they took photos of him before returning him to Serbia.
