On Sunday, May 15, 2022, a group of 50 people from Pakistan and Afghanistan got reportedly pushed back from Croatia to Bosnia.
According to the respondent, the group set off from Velika Kladusa to Croatia at 3 a.m. on May 14 and crossed the border at 11 a.m.
When the group passed a small river, they allegedly encountered a white colored car with blue stripes on the sides and the inscription “Policija“. Three people dressed in dark blue uniforms got out of that car. Reportedly, they started to insult the group while kicking them:
“Fuck you”, “Fuck your family, […] sister”.
The respondent described that one of the men in uniform was wearing a black ski mask. When people looked into the face of the people in uniform, the yelled: “Don’t look at me“. The respondent added that they checked the bags and bodies of the group, who partly had to undress and had to sit close together on their knees.
The respondent stated that after a little while, reinforcement arrived, described as 2 civilian cars and 3 white vans with windowless rears. When the group was requested to get up, a group member complained about pain. One man in uniform answered:
“Get up! I don’t care about your health!”
According to the respondent, the group had to divide into three groups to board one of the three vans, that went to different locations. On the way to the vans, some people tried to jump over a small brook to avoid getting wet, but they were reportedly forced to walk through the water.
The respondent shared one van with two benches on the sides with 15 other people, the car drive lasted for what felt like 3-4 hours. He declared that during the ride, he felt dizzy and cold and had a headache. The group was reportedly dropped off on the Croatian side of the Croatian-Bosnian border (45.210139, 16.017500), where they also found the other group members. The group had to walk for approximately 5-7 hours to get back to Velika Kladusa.
