“When I was crossing the fence to Hungary the border police sprayed my face and I fell. When I fell, I lost consciousness and I woke up here”.

The 16 year old respondent explains he was carried back by the friends traveling with him and woke up in the squat where they stayed, a few hours later, with blood on his right leg and cuts from the border fence all overs his hands.

“When he sprayed my face, I didn’t know anything anymore, I forgot everything.”

One of the respondent’s friends who was present during the incident adds “When the police sprayed his face he didn’t know anything anymore, we had to carry him back here. The group didn’t cross the fence at the end. The boy wanted to cross but the police sprayed his face and we escaped back here with him because he was really not ok.”
