On 10th October a group of 3 Moroccan men crossed over the fence near Horgos. They were quickly apprehended by 4 Hungarian soldiers who immediately began to beat the men. The men were lay on the floor while the soldiers kicked them in the ribs, genitals and the head. The respondent recalls that this round of beating continued for 3 rounds, only stopping when he began to struggle breathing.

After the officers searched through the men’s belongings they found the Quran, which they tore pages out of and told them “no Muslims in Europe”.

After the officers smashed the men’s phones, as seen in the picture below.

The officers took €120 from Respondent, as well as all of the groups’ power banks, shoes and coats. After they had searched and stolen from the group of men, the officers took the group back to the official crossing at Horgos. Here they took finger prints and pictures of the men before forcing them back onto Serbian territory.
