On 29th September a group of 40 people crossed the border into Hungary. The respondents are 2 women. The group were from Afghanistan, Pakistan and India.

As the group crossed over the first fence a green 4×4 Hungarian car arrived at speed. One of the women in the group was hit by a Hungarian car. The Respondent could not see whether she was okay, but she did not get up.

Three Hungarian officers, dressed in military uniform with black masks covering their faces, got out of the car and took away one of the ladders. Immediately the officers shot at them with rubber bullets and sprayed them with pepper spray.

The group stayed still while the officers beat them with batons. Some of the group had cold water poured over them to make them colder.

After the beating, everyone had their phones searched by the officers. Some of the group, including the Respondent was made to go back over the fence to Serbia by the ladder. When the Respondent left, they could not see whether the woman hit by the car was okay.
