Police involved Croatian police

A 27 year old person from Tunesia was deported back to Serbia, on September 4th, 2017. The Croatian police caught him in Rijeka at 2 am, and brought him directly to Zagreb police station, where he was kept in a room for 4 hours.

As he was able to use his phone, he contacted a person from UNHCR by whatsapp, but they didn’t answer. The police told him that asylum in Croatia was not possible.

The Croatian police brought him back to Serbia in a van, and dropped him at the railway, at the border. He didn’t experience any kind of physical violence. This was the 7th time he tried to cross.
