The applicant is a Cammeroonian national, he attempted to enter Melilla, an autonomous city of Spain located at the eastern side of Morocco. After climbing the fences seperating the territories, the applicant and a group of others were attacked with tear gas, hit with batons and knocked unconscious. The applicant was handcufffed and pushed back to Morocco.
