Safeguarding and Whistleblowing

BVMN is committed to maintaining a strong safeguarding culture that upholds transparency and ethical practices across all areas of our work.

We have established various frameworks such as a Code of Conduct and Safeguarding Policy to ensure that safety risks and incidents of misconduct are promptly identified, reported, and addressed, protecting everyone who comes into contact with BVMN, including our staff, volunteers, and people on the move. All members of BVMN are expected to adhere to these principles, which promote a respectful, inclusive, and ethical environment.

We also recognize the importance of having clear channels for whistleblowing. Whistleblowing refers to the act of reporting unethical behavior or wrongdoing within BVMN. This can include, but is not limited to:

• Harassment, discrimination, or bullying.
• Sexual abuse or harassment.
• Abuse, neglect, or exploitation involving staff, volunteers, or people we work with.
• Corruption, financial mismanagement, or fraud.
• Any act of misrepresenting BVMN or its activities externally without proper consent.
• Any other actions that are in violation of BVMN's values, ethics, or operational standards.

If you believe you have witnessed any of the above or have concerns related to unethical behavior, misconduct, or safeguarding issues, we encourage you to report it.
