Organisations
BVMN is an independent, horizontal, self-organised network of NGOs, associations and collectives that monitors human rights violations at and within European borders and advocates to stop violence against people on the move. Our work is sustained and guided by the work and vision of the multiple organisations that make up the network.
All of the organisations that are part of BVMN - some of which are anonymous - provide different types of support to people on the move and focus their work and experience on different areas: aid distribution, legal services, advocacy, communication and campaigns, psychosocial support, etc. All of them contribute to our collective work from different perspectives and expertise. While some of these organisations engage primarily on data collection, others focus more on legal advocacy or research, and BVMN aims to provide the platform to unite these efforts into a shared and multilayered mission and strategy.
Member organisations are responsible for deciding on the direction of the network through our Open Assembly, BVMN’s main decision-making body. Meanwhile, we also work closely with several other partner organisations on specific projects or areas. If your organisation is interested in becoming a member or a partner of BVMN, or if you have any questions about the process, please send an email to field@borderviolence.eu
We want to hear from you!
