In 2020, after years of collecting evidence of border violence and human rights violations against people on the move in Europe, we decided to turn all those stories into a book that would denounce the horrific consequences of the migration regime. The Black Book of Pushbacks includes all of the personal accounts of illegal expulsions documented by BVMN organisations over the years, together with detailed analysis of the patterns of violence systematically perpetrated by European authorities.
