The respondent reported that he and two other Afghan nationals started on July 10, 2022. At 10 p.m. they crossed the border near Buzim. During 2 hours they carefully walked through the forest unnoticed. Then they were discovered by what they described as two policemen. “They were waiting for us. They popped out of the trees. I don’t no if they saw us by camera or if they are always there” It was dark. The policemen shouted: “Go back!”
The group were blinded by the bright light from flashlights and therefore could not discern any further details about the police officers involved. A distance of several meters remained between the police and the group. There was no physical contact. The policemen forced the PoM to run back. They pursued the group. The group ran back across the border into Bosnia at 11 pm.
