The respondent, a 24-year-old man from Morocco, described a violent incident that occurred at the Subotica Main Bus Station on February 7th at approximately 8 PM. The incident involved a group of 10 individuals from Morocco, including both men and women, aged between 19 and 30.
The respondent described arriving at the bus station of Subotica with his transit group. As soon as they got off the bus, they were immediately stopped by a man and a woman in uniforms, whom he identified as local Serbian police. He described that the male officer started insulting him, saying: "You are from the mafia, we don't want you here". He was then beaten by the police officer. The respondent was then reportedly hit on his face, which caused a bruise around his eyes still visible after days.
After that, the respondent recalls that the man in the uniform asked them for money, eventually taking 150 euros from them. The transit group was allowed to leave after one hour.
