The respondents are three men from Afghanistan, who reported on violence that occured on 16.12.2019. around 19:00.
The respondents were inside the port of Patras, hiding under a truck, when they were caught by two men who were not wearing uniforms. They had a dog and were in a police car. It is safe to presume these men were local police officers in civilian clothes, as they had access to a police car.
The respondents ran away but the officers chased them in their police car and eventually stopped them. The two officers then started to beat them with fists to their bodies. Additionally, the officers took one of the respondents and held his leg while one of the officers drove over his leg with the police car. Furthermore, the respondents explained that one of the two officers twisted the arm of one of the respondents and tried to also drive over it with the police car. The respondent was able to get loose and limp away. The violence resulted in severe injuries on the legs, arms, and torsos of the respondents.
