He described that the truck driver told him that he wanted to kill him.

The respondent reported that he was with 5 other people inside the container of a lorry close to the Horgoš border crossing, when the driver of the truck found them.
While the rest of the group managed to run away, he was apprehended by the driver, and 2 truck drivers started to hit him with a metal pole (on the head, torso and extremities). He described that the truck driver told him that he wanted to kill him, as well as the rest of the group that had managed to escape.
According to the respondent, the driver was Serbian and was driving a lorry with a Serbian license plate. The beating reportedly lasted for 5 to 10 minutes. The respondent described that, when he managed to run away, other truck drivers in the area (also in possession of metal poles) were waiting around trying to catch him again, but he was able to get away. The interviewee had injuries to his face from the incident that were treated in Subotica hospital. See the photo attached below.
