The respondent shared the following information regarding a pushback during the night of the 29th to the 30th July.
The respondent was travelling with 3 other men – 2 of whom were minors – from Afghanistan. The group started in Kladusa on the 29th July at 3pm. The respondent reported that a group of officers intercepted the group after they crossed a river at this location: 45.266226, 15,971365.
The officers, described as wearing blue shirts, asked the group to sit down and reportedly took all the mobile phones and all the power banks. They also searched all the bags of the transit group. According to the respondent, the officers then transported them in a white van for 40 minutes, after which they stopped at the border at the point 45.225004, 15.968737 close to Bukovlje. The respondent explained that the group then asked for asylum. However, one of the officers denied their request. The respondent said: “They just gave back our mobiles and forced us to leave Croatia“.
