On the early morning of July 7th, 2022 at 4 am, 5 people, including 3 women, one man and one 6 months old baby got reportedly pushed bach from Croatia to Bosnia.
The respondent is the young man, who tried “the game” four times with his wife and his six months old son. The couple is from Pakistan and their child who was born in Greece remains, as of today, stateless.
The respondent reported that he noticed being followed by people in uniform since they crossed the Croatian border. The respondent further stateed that he could not remember the exact location of the pushback, as the people in uniform later destroyed his phone. However, he managed to recall that they were stopped in the forest.
At 4 am, people in uniform stopped the group. After having searched everyone, they reportedy stole their food, money and phones. According to the respondent’s description, these people were wearing blue uniforms.
According to the respondent’s statement, despite the intention to seek asylum in Croatia was expressed, the people in uniform pushed them back anyway.
The respondent declared that these people in uniform also used violence against his wife. According to his declaration, the woman was violently pushed down a hill by one uniformed man and this resulted in her leg getting seriously wounded.
The respondent described walking back into Bosnia with people in uniform pushing and hitting them with sticks. Once in Bosnia, the respondent reached with his family the village of Bugar from which he called a taxi to take them back to Borici camp, in Bihac.
