On the morning of September 27th, the respondent and his three group members, all from Morocco, crossed the Serbian-Hungarian border at Horgos on foot.
They walked for hours until they reached Zsana Nagy Tanya bus station and from there took a taxi to the Budapest train station.
At the bus station, they bought a train ticket to Vienna.
About twenty kilometers from the Austrian border, at Mosonmagyarovar, the train stopped, and four Hungarian police officers entered the train. They asked the respondent and his companions for their passports, which they did not have. The respondent showed the officers his Presevo refugee camp card from Serbia. The people on the move were then removed from the train.
The officers then took the men to “somewhere dirty,” but the respondent could not give any further detail about what kind of structure this was. The officers then loaded the men into a van and drove them back to the border, where they were pushed back into Serbia.
