On the 7th of February, the respondents left Bihac and walked to Velika Kladusa where they then went into the mountains at the Croatian border. After they had been walking for 8 hours, at around 6 PM, near the 216 road in Croatia, they were reportedly apprehended by 4 Croatian authorities who put them into a vehicle and drove them back to the border near Velika Kladusa. At this point, the respondents faced 10 to 12 police officers, who were described as all wearing black uniforms and masks. The respondent reported that their phones, money, clothes and shoes were taken. With only their underwear left, they were struck with batons by the officers. Two police dogs present allegedly bit one of the group members. This lasted around 30 minutes. One of the respondents claimed that 10 officers were simultaneously beating 2 of his friends. Reportedly, one officer threatened them with a knife saying: ‘You come another time, I kill you.’ Afterwards, the respondents were forced to walk back into Bosnia. From the spot at the border where the vehicle stopped, near Velika Kladusa they had to walk the 50 kilometres to Bihac wearing only underwear.
