On the night of January, 26, 2019, the two young men crossed the border from Serbia to Hungary, near Kelebija (HUN). They crossed at 1 am, and after walking for one hour through the countryside, they decided to have a rest. At around 3 am, the Hungarian authorities found them and started kicking them for 20-30 minutes. The two of them tried to ask for asylum, but the officers started insulting them and kicking them even stronger. Afterwards, the officers took their sleeping bags and coats. Then, they pushed the two of them on the ground into the snow, keeping one foot on their backs to keep them down for approximately one hour. Later, they had to enter a van and were deported back to Serbia.
